When I was in my junior year of high school, I had to get surgery on my jaw. Not the type of thing a 16 year old wanted to hear, but I dealt with it in the best way possible. What I didn't know was that a puppy was going to come with it. About a week before the surgery, my mom and grandparents took me to the pet store and told me that I could pick any dog I wanted. I saw the cutest tan dog that fit in the palm of my hand. I didn't know that 5 years later, he would be my best friend.

I named him Little, well my older sister did, and we have been inseparable ever since. He has a giant personality and I wouldn't want it any other way. Being away at college and away from him is actually pretty hard, knowing that he's home alone a lot since my parents work crazy hours, but when I go home on weekends to see him, it makes me the happiest person ever. I always recommend people to get dogs because they make everything better and make you feel like nothing else matters. You're the most important person to them.

I can't wait to graduate school because being home with him 24/7 is all I wish for at this moment.
