Ever had a home away from home.... I do, and it's known as, One Happy Island, Aruba! Every year, during week 34 and 35, my family and a couple family friends go down to Aruba just to soak up some sun rays and enjoy each others company while leaving all our worries in the United States.
These are two of my favorite restaurants when I go to visit. The food is so authentic and so that I have never gotten the opportunity to get the same thing twice since I want to taste everything they have. I even love the fact that at Barefoot, they have seating right on the beach and you can eat barefoot, hence the name.
The beaches are so calm, relaxing, warm and crystal clear. It feels amazing on your skin that you never want to get out.
In connection with one of the hotels on the island, there is a private island called Flamingo Island which I have been dying to go. Next year may be the year I take a trip. It is a little pricy, unless you stay at the hotel, then you are able to go for free.
Night life is very prominent on the island, especially on the weekends. Pictured above is a place called MooMba Beach. It is a very popular tourist attraction on Sundays. Younger and older people all come together to drink, dance and listen to music until around 2am.
I couldn't think of a better way to end the summer!
